Reviews for Matthew Smith
2 reviews from homeowners and contractors
Our house fire claim with adjuster Matthew Smith was a terrible ordeal. Matthew missed a lot of smoke damage in his assessment and his estimate barely covered basic repairs. We had to hire experts to re-evaluate the fire damage. It felt like he was trying to save the insurance company money at our expense. We are absolutely unhappy with how our fire claim was handled.
Matthew Smith was the adjuster for some wind damage to our roof and fence. He was actually fairly prompt in coming out and processing the claim. The payout covered the fence and a portion of the roof repair. While we did have to spend a little out of pocket to meet newer code requirements, Matthew's handling of the claim was okay. Not outstanding, but we got a decent result from the wind damage claim.
