Our hurricane damage claim in North Carolina was mishandled by Michael Mitchell. He barely looked at half the issues we pointed out – our roof, siding, and water-damaged floors – and his estimate was laughably low. We had to involve the state insurance department to get any movement. Michael's lack of thoroughness and slow response made an already stressful event even worse.
Michael Mitchell was the adjuster for our interior water damage claim and we're extremely unhappy. He arrived late for the inspection and rushed through it. Later we found out he omitted a lot of damaged items from his report. The insurance only paid a small amount, leaving us with a huge repair bill. We feel Michael absolutely failed us as an adjuster.
Michael Mitchell handled a hail damage claim on our roof. He did at least acknowledge the hail hits on our shingles, which was a relief, and we got an approval for repairs. However, he only approved patchwork on one slope of the roof. It felt like pulling teeth to get even that. We appreciated that something was covered, but it wasn't enough for a proper fix.
