Reviews for Brian Wilson

Brian was the insurance adjuster for our hurricane Ian claim, and he made everything a battle. He was slow to respond and then incredibly stingy with the estimate. Huge sections of our roof and interior damage were left out. We had to get a second inspection and involve supervisors to get a fair settlement. It took nearly a year to close the claim because Brian kept denying obvious damage and we had to keep fighting. A horrendous process start to finish.
I'm a general contractor, and I dealt with Brian on a wind damage repair job. He seemed overwhelmed and initially under-scoped the damage to the point that the repair wouldn't be possible. After I submitted a detailed supplemental estimate and engineering reports, he did eventually approve additional funds. It shouldn't take that much effort to get an accurate scope. The claim got settled, but the delays and constant corrections knock my rating down.
As a public adjuster, I found Brian extremely difficult to work with. A client's water damage claim from a burst pipe was straightforward, yet he denied and excluded so many items that were clearly covered. He rarely answered calls or emails, and when he did, his responses were dismissive. In the end, we had to invoke appraisal to get the homeowner what they deserved. Brian's approach was adversarial to the point of bad faith in my view.
As a contractor repairing hurricane damage, working with Brian Wilson was frustrating. He was hard to reach and initially refused to pay for code-required roof repairs after the windstorm. It took multiple follow-ups to get a supplement approved. From my perspective, his handling of the claim caused needless delays and headaches.
I am a public adjuster who engaged with Brian Wilson on a storm claim, and it was a battle. Brian downplayed severe wind and rain damage and his estimate left the homeowner short. Even with clear evidence and expert reports, he barely budged. In the end we had to invoke appraisal. His lack of cooperation was astonishing.
Brian Wilson was the adjuster for our water damage from a broken pipe. He did approve some emergency mitigation and repairs, but it felt like we had to justify every line item. The claim took longer than expected, and we only got a portion of what our contractor quoted. We're relieved it's over, but we wish he had been more generous given the circumstances.
